Account Deletion

KatuParkki Technologies Oy ("KatuParkki", "we", "us") respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your KatuParkki account and the personal data associated with it.

Delete your account in the app

The easiest way to delete your account is directly in the KatuParkki app:

1. Open the KatuParkki app.
2. Go to Profile (bottom navigation).
3. Tap Edit profile.
4. Scroll down and tap Delete account.
5. Confirm the deletion in the dialog.

What happens after you request deletion

• Immediate effect: Your account is deactivated and you will be logged out. You can no longer sign in.
• 30-day grace period: Your account is held for 30 days before permanent deletion. During this period, you can contact us to restore your account.
• Permanent deletion: After 30 days, your account and personal data are permanently deleted from our systems and from our identity provider (Keycloak).

What data is deleted

• Account and contact information (phone number, email, name)
• Saved vehicles and license plate numbers
• Saved payment method tokens
• Push notification tokens and device associations
• Parking session history

What data may be retained

Under Finnish and EU law (including the Accounting Act and VAT Directive), we are required to retain certain financial records. The following may be kept for the legally mandated retention period (minimum 6 years):

• Invoices, receipts, and accounting vouchers
• Payment transaction records required for bookkeeping

Retained financial data is used solely for legal compliance and is not used for marketing or other purposes.

Request deletion by email

If you are unable to use the in-app deletion feature, you can request account deletion by emailing us:

Please include the phone number associated with your account so we can identify it. We process your request within 30 days in accordance with GDPR Article 17.

Request partial data deletion

You may also request deletion of specific data (for example, a saved vehicle or payment method) without deleting your entire account. Contact us at the email address above with your request.
